Pallet Flow Racking Systems (Gravity Flow Racking)
Ouglon Pallet Flow Racking Systems are designed for warehouses that require strict FIFO inventory rotation, high storage density, and efficient pallet handling. Using gravity-driven roller lanes, pallets automatically move from the loading side to the picking side without powered movement.
This system is ideal for cold storage, food distribution, beverage logistics, pharmaceutical warehousing, and high-throughput manufacturing environments.
How Pallet Flow Racking Works
Pallets are loaded from the entry side of the rack onto slightly inclined roller tracks. Under gravity, each pallet moves smoothly toward the discharge side at a controlled speed.
Mechanical speed controllers regulate pallet movement to prevent excessive acceleration, while pallet separators at the picking face eliminate back pressure for safe pallet retrieval.
Unlike drive-in racking systems, forklifts never enter the rack structure, improving operational safety and reducing rack damage.

Heavy-duty structural steel frames provide stable load support for multi-level storage applications. The rack structure is engineered for high vertical loads and continuous industrial operation.
Gravity Roller Tracks
Precision roller lanes are installed at an optimized slope, typically between 3.5% and 4.0%, ensuring smooth pallet movement based on pallet weight and dimensions.
Speed Controllers (Brake Rollers)
Integrated brake rollers automatically control pallet speed throughout the lane, maintaining safe and stable pallet flow even in deep-lane configurations.
Pallet Separators
Pallet separators isolate the front pallet from accumulated rear pallet pressure, allowing forklifts to remove pallets safely and efficiently.
Entry Guides & End Stops
Steel entry guides assist forklift alignment during loading, while reinforced end stops securely position pallets at the picking face.

What is the difference between Pallet Flow Racking and Push Back Racking?
Pallet Flow Racking operates on a FIFO system with separate loading and unloading aisles. Push Back Racking operates on a LIFO system where loading and unloading occur from the same aisle.
How is pallet speed controlled?
Mechanical brake rollers are installed along the roller tracks to maintain a safe and controlled pallet speed throughout the lane.
Can plastic pallets be used?
Yes. However, pallet bottom design must be compatible with roller tracks. Testing is recommended for certain plastic pallet configurations.
How does the system prevent pallet pressure at the picking face?
Pallet separators hold back accumulated pallet pressure behind the front pallet, allowing smooth and safe pallet removal.
