Hot-Dip Galvanized Pallet Racking System
Ouglon Hot-Dip Galvanized Pallet Racking is designed for warehouses where moisture, condensation, chemicals, or outdoor exposure can quickly damage standard painted racking systems.
Unlike powder-coated pallet racks, hot-dip galvanized racking is fully coated with zinc after fabrication. This process creates long-term corrosion protection across the entire rack structure, including welded areas, bolt holes, and internal surfaces.
Galvanized pallet racking is widely used in cold storage warehouses, freezer rooms, food processing facilities, chemical storage areas, and outdoor logistics yards where durability and low maintenance are critical.
Why Choose Hot-Dip Galvanized Pallet Racking?
Standard painted pallet racks can chip, crack, or rust over time when exposed to moisture or changing temperatures. Hot-dip galvanizing provides a much higher level of protection for demanding warehouse environments.
Full Corrosion Protection
Each rack component is immersed in molten zinc after manufacturing, creating a protective coating over the entire steel surface.
This includes:
Welded joints
Upright interiors
Beam connections
Punch holes and edges
The result is complete protection against rust and corrosion.
Ideal for Cold Storage Warehouses
Cold storage environments often create condensation on steel surfaces due to temperature differences between loading docks and freezer areas.
Hot-dip galvanized pallet racking helps prevent rust formation and extends rack service life in freezer and refrigerated warehouses.
Suitable operating temperature range:
-30°C to +40°C
Longer Service Life
Compared with standard powder-coated racking, galvanized pallet racks typically provide a much longer service life in humid or corrosive environments.
The zinc coating also helps protect exposed steel if minor surface damage occurs during forklift operation.
Low Maintenance Requirements
Galvanized racking does not require repainting or regular anti-rust treatment, reducing long-term maintenance costs and warehouse downtime.
Suitable for Hygienic Environments
The zinc-coated surface is easy to clean and suitable for washdown environments commonly found in:
Food processing facilities
Beverage warehouses
Pharmaceutical storage
Seafood and meat cold rooms

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between pre-galvanized and hot-dip galvanized racking?
Pre-galvanized steel is coated before fabrication, which leaves cut edges and welded areas exposed after manufacturing.
Hot-dip galvanized racking is galvanized after welding and fabrication, providing full zinc protection across the complete rack structure.
Why is galvanized racking recommended for cold storage?
Cold storage environments create constant moisture and condensation, especially around loading zones and freezer entrances.
Galvanized pallet racks resist rust and corrosion much better than standard painted racks, making them more reliable for long-term freezer use.
Does galvanized racking cost more?
Yes, the initial cost is higher than powder-coated racking. However, the longer service life and reduced maintenance costs usually provide a lower total cost over time.
Can galvanized racking be customized?
